Summer

The ASC Summer program is designed for students who will be entering kindergarten through 8th grade. Children are grouped by age, with 10 – 13 children per adult.

Each day, children have many choices of activities:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Supervised free play in the woods
  • Games
  • Science or cooking projects
  • Music
  • and much more.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, a 45-minute period is dedicated to teaching skills for relationships – communication, trust, problem solving, empathy, and cooperation – and it provides opportunities to adddress issues of power, privilege, and discrimination. We plan activities that make learning these skills fun. This summer, this series is called “Control Patrol”.

Each week features a different theme (see below). Daily swimming trips are made in groups to the North Woburn public pool, weather permitting. (On field trip days, Tuesdays and Thursdays, swimming trips may not be scheduled.)
